The Supreme Art of Nothing is the melding together of two very different musical backgrounds, like chocolate chip ice-cream melting onto a plate of salt and vinegar crisps.
Nico is the original violin player of 90’s Liverpool band Pele and a now much sought after session musician. Growing her style of writing and playing from the bone-filled soil of classical composers, feeding herself on the vitamin B6 filled sounds of Steve Wickham and the Waterboys, Nico turns her violin into the voice of any band she works with. Nico has the ability to take any band from mediocre to f@!k me that’s good. Playing music across the world, from the vodka fuelled bars of Moscow to supporting the Pogues and playing the infamous Reading Festival of ‘92. Nico has worked live and in studios for Majors such as Polydor, Universal and Sony.
Meanwhile….Andi started with a little indie deal in Europe, absorbing and learning from all he met, (and there are lots of stories). He is now an established writer and producer. Andi has written music for media giants like Fox TV, Sony, Disney also writing, producing and developing artists for major labels.
Growing up with a wide-screen view of the world, Andi sought his kicks and set his goals through making music and creating a soundtrack to his life on the way. From Emmy Award Winning TV shows to being thrown out of the Classical Brits and backstage fights with the Stranglers whist on tour, let just say he’s been about a bit.
So why ‘ The Supreme Art of Nothing’…..why not?
God Bless Us for trying!
